Friends of the Wilmington Public Library Donate Books to WIC

Clinton County Health District Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) director Renee Quallen sorts through books for children that were recently donated to the WIC program by the Friends of the Wilmington Public Library (FOL). Quallen said that the books will be available to enrolled WIC families while they are at the local health department and may also be donated for children and parents to read at home. WIC provides support and education for pregnant and breastfeeding women; new mothers; and infants, and children up to five years of age. FOL is a volunteer group that collects, stocks and rotates books that are available at the library for a donation.
