Robin Britain and her family own and operate both Anytime Laundromats on Rombach Avenue and S South Street, Anytime Car Wash on S South Street, and the Blanchester Car Wash. “We want you to spend time living, not doing laundry,” stated Brook McBee, Robin’s daughter. “I even feel that way with going through the car wash… you’re gonna get the highest quality wash in less amount of time so you can… get to living,” continued Robin.
In addition to these businesses, Robin also maintains a farm in New Vienna. She has a background in the Air Force Reserves and served in active duty at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, which helped her later earn a supervisor position at Airborne at 21 years old, according to Robin. She worked there for 20 years and even met her husband, Larry, while working together. She recounted two “tough” experiences in her life, mentioning that she was on active duty during 9/11 and also that she was working at Airborne when DHL left in 2009.
After DHL left Wilmington, Robin transitioned to logistics before purchasing the laundromat around 2016. The laundromats feature free wifi, televisions, vending machines, and air conditioning and heating. In addition to standard washer and dryers, they also have 80-pound large capacity washers and dryers that have all been recently upgraded.
The laundromats also offer a ‘Wash-N-Fold’ service. This full-service laundry program allows individuals to drop off their dirty laundry or have it picked up to be washed, dried, and folded or hung. The service can also include clean laundry drop-off back to the customers. Pricing is determined by pound.
Roughly seven years later, in 2022, Robin and her family bought Anytime Car Wash. Similarly to the laundromats, the car wash is also 24/7 and features a touchless wash and self-service vacuum bay.
