Tracy D. Kelley Offers Local Direct Primary Care

"Direct primary care is based on more personalized care, being able to access care, so I don't take health insurance at all. It takes the insurance company out of the loop... It's based on a fee for service," stated Tracy Kelley, a certified nurse practitioner and owner of Tracy D. Kelley Direct Primary Care, which recently relocated from Wilmington, Ohio, to Sabina.
Tracy grew up in Wilmington and has spent roughly 25 years taking care of patients in Clinton County through various roles. Prior to opening her practice, she worked in the local emergency room, the oncology center, neurology, and more. Tracy even taught nursing courses at Hondros College of Nursing.
Tracy opened her practice roughly two years ago, inspired by patients who didn't have access to care or health insurance. She stated, "What inspired me the most was working in neurology in rural community healthcare, and seeing that there was a huge need for patients... Those patients have less preventative healthcare... Because in a rural community, we don't have physicians like they do in bigger cities."
Within her practice, Tracy does not take health insurance. Her practice operates on a "fee for service," where patients pay $55 a month if they are under 50 years of age and $65 a month if they are older than 50. Tracy is able to provide complete primary care, physicals, same-day or next day acute care, chronic condition management, and more. She can see both children and adults via Telehealth, in-person visits, or even home visits.
The practice also features family and business plan, red light therapy, and a GLP1/weightloss program. Patients do not pay deductibles or co-pays and can see her as many times as necessary. According to Tracy, those with memberships receive priority access to healthcare and are even able to message her on a HIPAA-compliant app around the clock.
Regarding her practice, Tracy stated, "The whole goal of direct primary care is to limit people going to urgent cares and emergency cares, saving you money in that aspect, and getting good preventative healthcare."
