Clinton County Job & Family Services (JFS) serves 1 in 4 people in Clinton County with public services (mainly Medicaid). Last year (2022), Clinton County had 12,000 people (1 in 4) receive Medicaid benefits. Interestingly, very few adults receive “cash benefits”, the majority of people receiving cash are children in kinship programs.

Also last year, 130 children received publicly funded childcare, and there were 5 licensed homes in the county that could accept this funding. JFS is current working with the Workforce Collaborative to help bring more childcare providers into the county in order to help people who need childcare to work.

JFS has a variety of programs to help empower people in our community with the hope of transitioning them off of public assistance when possible. To learn more about JFS, reach out to them directly through the contact information on their website: co.clinton.oh.us/departments/JobandFamilyServices
