The National Church Residences, a Christian organization committed to providing “comfortable housing, socialization, and health care to older adults”, plans to build a senior apartment complex in Wilmington on Lynne Lane.
At a City Planning Commission meeting last night, the commission approved the organization’s request to rezone a 3.911 acre portion of the Williams Farm Subdivision from “suburban commercial” to “multi-family”. On the acreage, National Church Residence plans to build Lynne Lane Senior Housing, consisting of 60–90 single bedroom units for seniors 55 and up. The apartment complex would feature a “community room, warming kitchen, fitness room, on-site property management, on-site laundry, and an outdoor patio.”
The next step is City Council approval. National Church Residences has also submitted a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit( LIHTC) proposal with the Ohio LIHTC program. This would finance a portion of the total costs of development via an equity investor.
